The Peel Project is a collection of photographic images that began as working sketches illustrating a large scale sculptural installation titled “Whirling Pathways.” Tom has, for years, peeled oranges and grapefruit in a single spiral. Over time they hardened into captivating sculptural forms that captured his imagination. They have become part of Tom’s oeuvre of artworks based upon meditative walking, labyrinths, mazes and pathways.
