Crossroads

July 31 – September 17, 2011

Crossroads, a juried Silvermine Guild group show, was juried by Tracy Fitzpatrick, Curator and Assistant Professor of Art History at the Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase, NY. Open to all Silvermine Guild Artist members and in all media, this exhibit will showcase the artists? perception of crossroads, be it metaphorically, symbolically, spiritually, or culturally. Often used metaphorically, crossroads is an abstraction of places or occasions where people meet. “To be at a crossroads” refers to any turning point with an unpredictable outcome ? the literal meaning of crisis. This is a timely exhibit as we approach the tenth anniversary of 9/11, a crisis that impacted so many and a day that changed so much in our lives.
