Silvermine’s Summer Art camps are extremely popular and last minute cancellations pose significant challenges in managing resources effectively as well as accommodating waitlisted students. Our updated policies allow us to better plan staffing, supplies, and programming requirements, ultimately enhancing the overall camp experience for all participants.
Reimbursements for Summer Art Studios
Refunds for Withdrawals
- Withdrawals on or before May 1, 2024: Eligible for a full refund, less the non-refundable registration fee of $35. No refunds after May 1, 2024 – No exceptions.
Credits for Withdrawals
- Withdrawals on or after May 2, 2024 receive credit only: Eligible for a credit to the student’s Silvermine account, less the non-refundable registration fee of $35 – up to 14 days before camp start date.
No Refunds or Credits for Withdrawals
- Withdrawals within 14 days of the camp start date: (refer to deadlines below) – Not eligible for a refund or credit. Please consider a transfer to an alternate camp.
- Credits and refunds are not available for illness and/or COVID-19 related absences.
Transfers to another Camp
- Transfers on or before May 1, 2024: Eligible for a refund of any program price difference. Transfers to higher priced program will incur additional costs.
- Transfers on or after May 2, 2024: Eligible for a credit only of any program price difference. Transfers to higher priced program will incur additional costs.
- Transfers within 14 days of the camp start date: Transfers that result in the program falling below the minimum required enrollment to run will receive a credit of which a prorated portion will be applied to the original camp. The remaining credit will be used towards the alternate camp. Additional charges may apply.
- Transfers on or after camp start date: You may incur additional costs.
Cancellation by Silvermine
The School reserves the right to change its calendar, withdraw, modify or cancel camps and use substitute instructors, as needed. If Silvermine cancels a camp, students may opt to transfer to another camp, receive a credit to their Silvermine account or receive reimbursement to the original form of payment, less the non-refundable registration fee.
General Registration Policies
- Registration Fee: Each term, a $35 non-refundable registration fee is charged.
- Enrollment: A minimum enrollment is required for a camp to run. In addition, there are maximum limits based on studio size, equipment and instructor’s requirements.
- Withdrawals and transfers are honored during school office hours, by phone only, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Withdrawals made by email are not accepted.
- Waitlists: We highly recommend students place themselves on waitlists for any fully enrolled camps. The School will email waitlisted students when/if an opening becomes available.
General Studio Policies
All studio scheduling is at the discretion of Silvermine Art Center Administrative Staff. Please review our Studio Policies – Click this link
- No dogs allowed in the Silvermine Art Center buildings with the exception of service animals.
- Alcohol is not allowed in the studios or any of the buildings on campus.
Code of Conduct
Silvermine Arts Center reserves the right to require the withdrawal of any student whose conduct is deemed inappropriate. Please review our Code of Conduct – Click this link

Photograph and Video Waiver Release
- Silvermine Arts Center frequently documents classes and exhibitions using photography and/or videos for publicity purposes. These images are used in the digital Course Catalog, social media, Annual Report, and other publicity platforms to benefit the center and further its mission.
- Your registration in a class or visitation to the campus grants Silvermine permission to photograph/video you and/or your artwork, and to use these images in all publicity platforms, unless you inform the photographer otherwise.
