While I always wish that summer could last longer I inevitably find myself anticipating the fall with renewed enthusiasm – that “back to school” newness in the air. Having begun here at Silvermine this past April, I am now settled and ready to begin an exciting new year. I’ve enjoyed getting to know so many of you and look forward to meeting more of the Silvermine community. I have been pondering ways to improve and expand our services and encourage you to take advantage of the benefits that come with membership in the Silvermine Guild Arts Center.

So, beginning with this fall registration we will be encouraging annual membership. All members will be exempt from the $35 per semester registration fee. If you have already paid your membership you will not need to renew until the one year expiration. See below for the membership levels. We, of course, hope you will join at the highest level you are comfortable with – but only the individual level is required.

The Silvermine School of Art is an important component of the overall Silvermine Guild Arts Center. The Center also includes the Silvermine Guild of Artists (over 300 current members), the galleries, special events and our outreach program in the Norwalk and Stamford schools, Art Partners. We have also been actively upgrading our gift shop and hope that you will take advantage of the 10% discount which comes with membership.

We have big future plans and as members we encourage your active participation so you will be in on them all!
